What Is Collagenlase® Skin Rejuvenation
Collagenlase utilises the unique qualities of our pico 300 picosecond laser. The laser beam is passed through an array lens to split it into a number of microbeams. Each microbeam is focused and due to the nature of the picosecond laser we are able to deliver sufficient energy to create microzones of treated tissue that is then renewed by the body. This rejuvenates tired skin and increases collagen levels in the dermis, which has the effect of reducing fine wrinkles and improving skin texture to leave it glowing. The pico 300’s ability to deliver a very short pulse of energy with very limited heating of the skin enables deep skin rejuvenation with no need for preparation other than cleaning the treatment area. Collagenlase is generally considered to be a comfortable skin maintenance treatment that can be repeated at typically 3 monthly intervals to help maintain your skin in peak condition.

The initial consultation and treatment will typically take in the order of 45 minutes. Subsequent treatments can comfortably be completed within 30 minutes.
Collagenlase is generally considered to be comfortable and is fully adjustable to your personal comfort level.
No Collagenlase is intended to be a relatively mild yet effective maintenance treatment and is a part of Cosmex Clinic’s prevention and early intervention approach. If there is a need to correct significant past skin damage other options are available, which can be discussed during your consultation.
We normally recommend a treatment every 3 months but you could leave longer periods between treatments.
If we are correcting some mild prior damage we may initially recommend a course of treatments one month apart.
The alternative to this would be a course of more intense skin resurfacing treatment before progressing to the ongoing maintenance protocol.
