Facial Volume Loss.
At Cosmex Clinic we can provide several procedures to address facial volume loss and restore a more youthful appearance.
Volume loss
Is the gradual depletion of fat, muscle, and other tissues in the face, leading to a loss of fullness and a more aged appearance. As we age, the natural processes of collagen and elastin breakdown, combined with the effects of gravity, can cause the face to lose its youthful volume and contours.
The loss of facial volume can result in various changes, including:
- Hollowing of the cheeks
- Thinner lips
- Deepening of facial folds such as nose to mouth lines (nasolabial folds) and mouth to chin lines(marionette lines).
- A sunken appearance around the eyes and temples.
- A less defined jawline.
These changes can make a person look tired, gaunt, and older than their actual age.
Fortunately, at Cosmex Clinic we can provide several procedures to address facial volume loss and restore a more youthful appearance. These treatments include injectable dermal fillers, which are injectable substances that replenish lost volume, skin boosters and polynucleotides to stimulate collagen production.
Collagen production can also be stimulated by several energy based treatments including SkinTyte Hi-Fu, Endymed Intensif, Collagenlase and 1550 fractional laser. These can be standalone treatments but often the optimum result will be produced by a combination of two or more of the above treatments.

Dermal Fillers
Dermal Filling is artistry with a needle to sculpt the face or body and requires significant artistic skill to produce the optimum result. Injecting dermal fillers is also a non surgical procedure that is delivering non animal filler into the patient’s body and requires an excellent understanding of anatomy, the characteristics of the products being used and crucially understanding and experience of the complications that can occur and how to deal with them. In the wrong hands very significant complications can occur that have to be dealt with swiftly.
Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides are highly purified chains of DNA and RNA, which have been used in medical treatments for wound repair for decades and have an excellent safety record. More recently they have been incorporated in aesthetic medicine to improve the quality of our skin.
