Fat is something all of us have to deal with, even with a good diet and healthy exercise regime certain fat cells just don’t seem to budge. It often seems perverse that the areas we want to reduce most are the areas that hang onto the fat strongest.
During a Coolsculpt treatment the fat cells are destroyed by freezing them without damaging any adjacent skin, muscle, or nerve cells. Fortunately, fat cells are far more vulnerable to temperature change than other cells. What to expect at your coolsculpting consultation?
At your no-obligation consultation, one of our aesthetic practitioners who is specially trained in the Coolsculpting treatment will asses the areas you are trying to treat and check your suitability for treatment by assessing the amount of pinchable fat you have on the stubborn fat areas. The aesthetic practitioner will go over the recommended treatment/ number of applicators you require to get your desired results on your chosen body area for your CoolSculpting | Fat Freezing Treatment by taking account of your preferences for treatment and tailoring this to produce your free treatment plan.
The Procedure:
The CoolSculpting applicator is placed over the area of the unwanted fat area to be treated and left for 35 minutes per cycle. During this time, you can rest, read, check your emails or even nap! While you relax the fat is being frozen, causing the fat cells to die and the body’s natural processes then flush out these dead cells, removing them from the area and eventually the entire body.
Follow up treatment & consultation:
At your consultation, the aesthetic practitioner will go through your body goals and transformation plan. Then at your first treatment your photograph will be taken along with an InBody assessment in order to track your fat reduction journey and ensure you get the desired results. The second photograph will be taken 4 weeks post-treatment, at this stage you are able to have a second session if you desire. Your final appointment consists after 12 weeks where your photos and weight will be taken for the last time to give you a spectacular before and after.

Yes, the CoolSculpting® procedure can treat visible fat bulges under the chin. Freezing away fat from a double chin is as tolerable as using the CoolSculpting® procedure in other parts of the body (e.g., abdomen, flank/side, thighs). With CoolSculpting® treatment for a double chin, patients may see results after just 2 visits.
Once the treated fat cells are crystallised (frozen), they are destroyed and are naturally processed and eliminated from the body. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good
As a leading non-invasive fat-reduction treatment worldwide, CoolSculpting® has a well-established safety and efficacy profile. CoolSculpting® systems are controlled cooling devices designed with built-in safety measures. If sensors detect that the skin is getting too cold, the system will shut down automatically.
As the cooling begins during the first few minutes you typically feel intense cold. This should soon dissipate. With some applicators, you’ll feel some pulling as suction is applied.
After the treatment, you may feel some tingling as the area is massaged for approximately 2 minutes. Patients are usually able to return to normal activities following their appointment.

The length of your CoolSculpting®treatment will vary depending on the number of areas being treated during one visit. The latest technology of CoolSculpting® can treat a patient within 60 minutes.
During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations may subside as the area becomes numb.
Following the procedure, typical side effects include redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, skin sensitivity and numbness. Numbness can persist for up to several weeks. There may be a sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental treatment. These effects are temporary and generally resolve within days or weeks.
Though rare, some additional side effects such as paradoxical hyperplasia, late onset pain, freeze burn, vasovagal symptoms, subcutaneous induration, hyperpigmentation and hernia may also occur.
The CoolSculpting® procedure is not for everyone. You should not have the CoolSculpting® procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinaemia, cold agglutinin disease or paroxysmal cold haemoglobinuria. The CoolSculpting® procedure is not a treatment for obesity.
The CoolSculpting® procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities almost immediately. Often, patients return to work directly after their CoolSculpting® treatment. This will vary between people and may be dependent on treatment area.
Most patients see results between 2 and 6 months following treatment. You will still continue to flush out fat cells for up to 4 to 6 months after treatment.
